Christina Goldbaum is a freelance writer and video journalist based in Nairobi, Kenya.

She has reported for Agence-France Presse, Quartz, The Christian Science Monitor, Africa Geographic and the Cape Times. Christina has covered gang violence in Providence, Rhode Island, the Al-Shabab attack on Garissa University, and civil unrest in Burundi leading up to the 2015 elections. Through her work she strives to document the consequences of extreme poverty, political unrest, and the violation of human rights.
